Wise Cottage is set in the beautiful village of East Knoyle, birthplace of Sir Christopher Wren, four miles north of Shaftesbury. The area is characterised by rolling hills and expansive views. The village has an excellent community shop which sells almost everything one could need, from fresh local meat, vegetabes, bread and dairy to dog treats and stationary as well as a large stock of local produce.
There is a very well equipped playground opposite the village shop and the excellent Fox and Hounds pub, a short drive or half hour walk from the cottage, serves excellent food and has glorious views towards St Alfred's Tower.
There is a well equipped playground and a 13th century church.
Walks extend straight from the door, so you can happily enjoy the immediate locality, or go a little further and strike into the Blackmore Vale or up to Wyn Green, the highest point in Dorset.
