Vanessa is a wonderful host and her cottage is beautiful. It's full of character and charm and is very peaceful. We enjoyed a two night stay with our two dogs. We loved relaxing by the fire and taking long walks in the fields at the back of the house. Both Vanessa and her husband are very helpful and welcoming. We wish we could have stayed longer! Emma
Wise cottage truly was the most idyllic setting for a rural weekend escape. Beautifully styled and terrifically equipped. We were welcomed by a glowing fire and the lamps switched on making it incredibly cosy and inviting. Our hosts were so helpful during our stay and in the lead up to it, nothing was too much trouble. The surrounding villages are just beautiful and all the locals were incredibly friendly, adding to our experience. We cannot wait to come back and stay again. Laurel.
The cottage is picture perfect in every way and surrounded by stunning and peaceful countryside. It's cosy and well designed, with all the modern conveniences you'd need alongside beautiful antique finds which add so much warmth and character. We stayed for work at nearby St. Giles House and the cottage was the perfect place to get a good night's rest. Vanessa was so attentive and we felt really looked after. Very highly recommended! Lovely cottage with everything supplied for a really comfortable stay in a beautiful part of the country. Darcey the cocker loved the garden and I was happy knowing she was safe and unable to escape to chase the pheasants in the field next door! Jo
We loved our stay at Wise cottage! The cottage is unique and I fell in love with it. It is beautifully furnished with much attention to detail as fine bed linens, cosy towels, organic shampoo, original art, washing mashine & dryer, beautiful textiles and carpets ... The master bedroom is so spacious, that you really like to spend time and the bed is great with a super matress which is a big plus! The living room is cosy and made us four comfortable to read, chat, play games, eat dinner, watch TV .. Kitchen and bathroom are downstairs and equipped with all modern amenities. Vanessa and Bruce were always at hand to help with anything that might occur and we enjoyed to get to know them during our stay. There are many things to explore as the region is beautiful, but we also very much enjoyed to stay in the cottage as it has a beautiful garden and view. Couldn't have been a better choice! Vanessa's cottage was lovely and homely. It was really comfortable, lots of information on the area etc was provided so great for those coming to explore. My children loved the bunk beds and the ponies in the field at the back of the garden. Really lovely stay. Thanks Vanessa! Claudine
This was the most perfect time away. The cottage was beautiful and cosy (we loved the log fire especially) and a garden with lovely views. The area was so quiet, with lots of places to go on walks with our dogs and villages to visit with great pubs. Vanessa is a great host with great communication and provided everything we needed.
